I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
