2K Games has appointed a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to lead the studio crew at 31st Union, which is currently developing the anticipated third-person action-packed title known as this innovative game.

Brinkman steps into the role of studio head at 31st Union following the exit of former leader Michael Condrey, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' underwhelming unveiling last autumn.

The president noted that the developers is now overhauling the project with a refreshed vision, aiming to address player expectations.

Through your commitment and flexibility, especially over the last year, you consistently demonstrate that.

The gamer responses from last fall’s the game demo was enlightening. It validated the promise of a roguelike shooter but told us we still had improvements to make. It revealed the necessity for a sharper brand.

It has been motivating to see how far you’ve progressed. You embraced the feedback to mind and revamped Project ETHOS with a revitalized goal - one that’s ready to achieve its ambition to our audience.

The belief in Project ETHOS strengthens every day. To boost the remarkable development you’ve made, I’m excited to announce Ben Brinkman as the latest Lead of the team. After a period of talks, he starts with us on Monday, October 20.

His leadership and background in the PVP shooter field is considerable, having dedicated the recent years developing and leading some of the most well-known titles in the industry, for example the acclaimed shooter, and most recently, the battle royale hit.
